5 Signs And How To Deal With Chronic Complainers

Home Signs of A Chronic Complainer – Do you know a chronic complainer? These are the people who carry negative energy and always have something to whine about. Talking to a chronic complainer can stress you out and can be a drain on your brain. Chronic complaining can negatively affect a person and the people around them. Chronic complainers tend to focus on problems and have a negative outlook. Luckily, there are ways to handle them so they can’t dull your spark. Complaining is common, but getting into a habit of complaining over and over again can make your living suffer & bring out negativity. Some of us don’t realize when they become chronic complainers or live with complainers. In this article, we look at the signs of chronic complainers that will help you identify such people and ways to deal with such people effectively. Let’s begin. Table of Contents Why do we complain? Complaining is a common trait and externalization of feeling. It’s absolutely normal because we’re annoyed by various things in our lives. We complain to feel better and to express our internal discomfort. But, constantly venting and being stuck in chronic complaining can have an impact on our well-being and is toxic for everyone around us. What are the signs of a chronic complainer? Here are some common signs of a chronic complainer that will help you: 1. There aren’t positive people surrounding them A person who complains each time and has a negative outlook keeps the friends with the same perspective. Such people will not attract positive people. If you want to know whether the person is a chronic complainer or not, look at his surroundings & the company they keep. They are surrounded by Debbie Downers. 2. Focusing on obstacles for way too much A chronic complainer is always focused on obstacles and barriers in any situation in life. They see every little change as a problem and complain about it. They focus on mistakes and have a negative perspective instead of focusing on the brighter side of the situation. 3. Convinced that they’re being realistic Chronic complainers don’t consider their complaints as complaining; instead, they declare it is being realistic. Such people keep hitting on critiques of the world around them without thinking logically for once. 4. Everything has to be perfect, and nothing is ever good enough Chronic complainers consider themselves perfectionists. They see everything other than themselves as not good enough and don’t see any positives. They never agree with anyone else and try to convey to others that they’re perfect through their actions & words. Moreover, it makes them keep a desire to become the best at all times. 5. The “My way or the highway” mentality A chronic complainer is rarely truly happy about anything as he misses out on seeing the right things. They only get happy when things go their way. Whenever anyone else gives their input, it is not up to their standards. They are focused on finding the wrongs, and it makes it difficult for them to feel true happiness. How do you deal with a chronic complainer? You can effectively deal with such people, and by trying the right ways, you can lighten the mood for all. Here are the things you can do to handle complainers. 1. Shift the conversation This is easier to do. If the complainer keeps complaining about the same subject, it’s helpful to change the subject of conversation. If your neighbour is constantly venting about his new boss, tell him any of your good experiences in the office. The main thing is to shift the conversation to a positive situation and get them off the focus from the complaining subject. 2. Try not to convince them and support them instead Sometimes, people become complainers when their needs are not met or when they’re struggling withnegativity. They need someone who understands them and hears them. It’s best to listen to them and support them. When they complain, try to listen instead of convincing them to be more positive and stop being negative all the time. This tactic will save you from the argument, and it’d be helpful for their mental health. 3. Help them bring back their positivity We all know that light casts out the darkness. Some people struggle with their complaining habits and try to get back to positivity. Help and support such people by segueing into healthy solution talk. Listen to their problems and answers. So, suggest positive alternatives that could help them to feel less negative. 4. Have a heart-to-heart session and be honest with them Another best way to deal with chronic complainers is to be honest with them. When they’re complaining, and you’ve to do some things, tell them to make the conversation short or move on from it instead of making excuses. Moreover, if the complainer is one of your loved ones, have a heart-to-heart session with him. Talk to them about their problems & triggers and help them. It’ll be beneficial for both of you and your relationship with him. 5. If nothing seems to work out, detach from them for your own sake Lastly, if you try out all the ways to deal with such Debbie Downers, but nothing works out. Time to detach yourself and end the conversation! Sometimes, some chronic complainers are crabby people and hard to get rid of. Everything you do on them drains your own mental wellbeing. For it, try out your best to leave them on their own and let them stay in their negative ambiance. Also Read: Control Your Emotions With These Steps If you’re one of them, try to do a complaint cleanse If you find yourself having the signs mentioned above, it’s time to make a complaint cleanse and seethe things in a different light. It just takes a little dose of optimism and working on your attitude to make a complaint cleanse. Whenever you feel you’re complaining, focus on the things you’re grateful for. Writing down your complaints in a gratitude notebook

Getting along effectively with such people is key to developing your conflict resolution skills. Dealing with them is challenging or often easier. Whether a difficult coworgker or a demanding boss, it’s time to speak up and learn how to deal with difficult coworkers and inspire a positive work environment. Unresolved issues and a negative environment at the workplace can adversely affect you personally and professionally and lead to tensions & stress. In this article, we share 7 helpful ways to deal with difficult coworkers and make life easier on a job by ensuring a happier work environment. As you learn how to work around their negative behaviors, you will be able to maintain a healthier work environment and begin to focus more on yourself. Table of Contents 1. Self reflection – ask yourself what are you feeling and find the root cause If you’re dealing with difficult coworkers and feeling uncomfortable at work, it’s time to start examining yourself and the situation. Sometimes, the other person is not a problem; instead, your feelings or history make you overreact. Therefore, always start with self-reflection and find the root cause of the situation. It helps you to cope with the problem easier. Focus on your feelings and expressions rather than the other individual’s actions. While talking with such coworkers, use ‘I’ language instead of ‘You’ language to help them understand your perspective. Here is an example of how you should switch your language: ‘I feel that your behavior makes it hard for me to focus‘Vs.‘Your action is irritating’ or ‘You’re annoying’ 2. Benchmarking with coworkers – check with other coworkers if they’re experiencing the same issue Based on a McKinsey report, a well-connected teams experienced a rise in their productivity for around 20%-25%. According to CMSWIRE, 97% employees believe communication impacts the efficiacy of their tasks on daily basis. Thus, benchmarking is one of the way you can choose to communicate with coworkers. Benchmarking with other coworkers is a great way to cope with this challenging situation at the office. If you are unsure whether you’re overreacting or their behavior & point of voice are making you do so, talk with other coworkers. Looking at their opinions and knowing whether they are facing the same issue or not will help you to gain others’ perspectives and cope with this challenging situation. The most important thing is that don’t speak ill of a problematic coworker to others. Stick to the facts to get unbiased opinions when benchmarking with coworkers. 3. Don’t assume and understand their perspective – confirm and validate thoughts with your coworkers Assumptions and judgments are horrible. You find your coworkers difficult due to your assumptions and prejudices. But understanding their perspective will make it easier to get along with them. Try to know them by asking questions, listening to them, and seeing things from their perspective. After knowing them better, you will realize that their behaviours are associated with their life experiences. 4. Communicate the concern – calmly communicate in a private conversation to make sure your needs are known It is best to deal with such coworkers by calmly communicating privately. Talk to the coworker about the concern and impact of their actions on you. Be calm and pleasant while talking about the issue with that person. Probably, they are not aware of the situation and how their actions affect you. It can help both of you to reach a mutual conclusion. Remember to keep it private between the two of you. Making your issue public in the workplace is always a bad idea. 5. Focus on yourself – it’s easier to change ourselves than to change others The other common way to deal with difficult coworkers who are negatively impacting your career is to focus on yourself. You can’t control the other person’s actions, but you can control your emotions and actions. Therefore, reflect on yourself and feel how you act towards them. If the other person is making you upset or distressed, you should become the person who breaks this loop. Show them kindness and compassion in return. This way will help you both to move forward. “You can’t change anyone, but yourself.” – Anonymous. Also Read: Be Yourself With These Steps 6. Give positive feedback – don’t be afraid to give feedback Equally important is to learn how to give positive feedback to your manager and teammates. Giving positive feedback will help you get your relationship with coworkers to a good place. It will help them understand your positivity and focus on positive relationships. Therefore, don’t be afraid to provide feedback, instead, be optimistic in every situation and give positive feedback about your coworkers. 7. If all else fails – distance yourself from the difficult coworkers When all else fails, it’s worth distancing yourself from difficult people at the workplace. It would be wise to limit your interaction, remove yourself from the situation and create boundaries with such coworkers. When they realize they are not being listened to, they know they can’t push you to go along with what you want, so they will give up. Creating conversational boundaries & physical distance and avoiding them will help you mitigate difficult situations. Furthermore, enforce it consistently when you limit your interactions to protect your mental and emotional space. Conclusion Regardless of any industry or department, you have to interact with many people with difficult personalities. Such difficult coworkers can decrease productivity and growth by causing a problematic work environment. Luckily, you can handle such coworkers and keep the peace in your office by following the seven ways mentioned above. Also, these ways will be helpful for you to build positive relationships and reach your career goals. Try out these ways to manage your interactions with problematic coworkers. The leader is the one that the team trusts and respects. A good leader acts as a mentor who can hold the team together, listen to everyone, monitor results and inspire team members. Moreover, this individual in a group is responsible for setting the pace by providing constructive feedback, criticism, and motivation to keep the team morale high and help the members to achieve their goals. “An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep.” -Alexander the Great Specialization Photo by CoWomen Specialization has always been a key to high-performing teams. As the group members of sports have different roles and skills to win the game, a good team needs to have individuals with varied skills. It is necessary, so each member must be assigned a particular role according to their abilities and strengths. Such members combine their respective talents collectively to achieve an end goal and make a successful team. While one may be good at organization, another may be great at writing, while another boasts data-driven. So, each person with his unique skill contributes to yield superior outcomes. Sense of belonging Photo by Krakenimages Harvard Business Review stated that social belonging as an essential human need, connected to our DNA. If each individual understands their responsibilities, they’ll share the workload fairly and care about the company’s success. Therefore, a strong sense of commitment is one of the essential components of a good team. It will help the members be deeply committed to their actions and accomplish their tasks excellently. Ownership Photo by Vlad Hilitanu In a successful team, members feel ownership of their jobs. By having this characteristic, members are focused on team success rather than a particular group. Also, members are happy to support each other to accomplish the team mission. Open communication Photo by Jason Goodman Here is the significant component of the group. A team with strong group dynamics tends to have open and honest communication with each other and share thoughts & opinions with other members. In addition, they understand each other and update every person to create a harmonious environment. A good communicator means a good listener.  Members listen to each other because they believe in their ability and integrity. So, it develops a trust-building habit among members and works together efficiently. Poor communication leads to rising conflicts, and other problems emerge in groups. Danielle King said on her research, “Creating a work environment centered around learning and open communication is helpful as teams grow and take on new tasks. Leaders must reinforce this workplace culture with positive language that signals openness and a focus on their development”. Admit mistakes Photo by Brett Jordan Everyone can make mistakes. But the real flex is to admit your mistakes. If something wrong happens, it is better to admit mistakes and start again by fixing them rather than giving up. On top of that, you should never ever point your finger on an innocent member of the team. It’s the worst. A good team stays positive when facing any setback, owns it and improves it! “The only man who makes no mistakes is the man who never does anything. Do not be afraid to make mistakes providing you do not make the same one twice.” –  Theodore Roosevelt Conflict resolution Photo by Headway Conflict resolution is an essential element that aids team growth. It is common to have disagreements among members, but good teams resolve conflicts quickly. They speak to one another freely and comfortably, respect each other’s views, and allow the person to communicate and resolve the issues constructively. So, it’s imperative to resolve and manage conflicts to maintain a healthy environment and be more creative and productive. Know when to have fun Photo by Priscilla Du Preez Last but not least, good team members must know when to have fun. 7 Morning Rituals To Help You Kickstart Your Successful Day

Reading Time: 5 min Home > Vivien Roggero's Blog > Home 7 Morning Rituals for a Successful Day – The way you start your morning sets the ambiance for the rest of your day. Compelling morning rituals can help you achieve focus, clarity, positivity, and productivity. It is a great time to generate positivity that contributes to a successful life. What do successful & creative people have in common? They each have healthy morning rituals in their daily routines to kick-start their day. In the precious early hours of the morning, our willpower is the greatest, and it can help instill self-confidence.  Table of Contents 7 morning rituals for successfull In this article, you’ll learn the 7 morning rituals of leading entrepreneurs. These 7 morning habits of highly successful people will help you jumpstart your day so you can establish your mindset for the entire day and make your day successful. Let’s dive in! 1. Wake up on time Photo by Julian Hochgesang “The first step to win yourself is wake up early” – Sukant Ratnakar High achievers rise early to make a successful day. If you see successful people in history, many are early birds. Meanwhile, the advantages of rising early are apparent and backed by science as we all have heard it, the early bird gets the worm. When you wake up early, you have more time to carry out other morning rituals. Moreover, this morning ritual will increase your creativity & productivity because you can work efficiently when your mind is fresh and can deal with stress better. Therefore, it’s the most significant one and foundation for all other morning rituals. To be able to get up on time, set your alarm before you sleep and try to hit your snooze button as infrequently as possible. Why? While getting some extra minutes of sleep once in a while seems like it is not a big deal, science tells us the other way around. In fact, pressing the snooze button on daily basis would ruin your body clock and actually leave you feeling even more tired during the day. So, instead of catching a few more minutes of sleep in the morning, you can go to bed early and make sure you get enough sleep at night.  2. Take a break from the phone Photo by Elijah Fox An IDC Research study found that almost 80% of smartphone users reach out for their phone first after they woke up before anything else — which is bad. Scrolling through social media or checking emails right after waking up is a passive activity that could lead you to procrastinate for the entire day. Avoid your phone for at least 1 hour after waking up to prevent distraction. You can try turning on your phone’s Do Not Disturb Mode or Focus Mode before sleeping. It might be hard at the beginning to resist it, but this step might help you train yourself to not open your phone right away after waking up in the morning. Be consistent is the key!   Taking a break from  the phone will help you to prioritize your thoughts for a day. Rather than scrolling social media, it’s better to spend a few minutes reading a book in the morning. This activity will calm your mind and prime you for the day’s challenges. 3. Make your bed Photo by Volha Flaxeco One of the most fantastic habits for your morning rituals to improve your life is by making your bed every day. It seems like a little action, but it’s all about small things. When you make your bed in the morning, it is your first day’s accomplishment.   “If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter.  If you can’t do the little things right, you will never do the big things right. And, if by chance you have a miserable day, you will come home to a bed that is made—that you made—and a made bed gives you encouragement that tomorrow will be better. If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.” – Admiral William H. McRaven With that being said, making your bed will give you a small sense of pride and encouragement to do more tasks throughout the day. So, add this mindful morning ritual to your routine to have a higher positivity and well-being in your life. Also, you’ll realize that little things matter too in life. 4. Meditate Photo by Kajetan Sumila “Meditation is not about having yet another new strategy of self-help plan, but rather providing a framework in which to see yourself more clearly.” -Andy Puddicombe Meditation is a daily habit of successful leaders who face back-to-back meetings and tough days. Meditation is a perfect way to clear your mind and help you focus. Not only that, but a 2020 study also found that meditation could help reduce post-surgical or chronic pain. Incorporating meditation into your daily morning routine will reduce stress, stimulate productivity, and boost self-confidence. It has the power to conquer your fears and anxiety.  In addition, it is an excellent way to concentrate and slow down your thoughts. Meditate by taking deep breaths to help your mind and body warm up for the day. You can incorporate a 15-minute daily commitment to meditation in the morning. It’ll have a significant influence on your life personally and professionally. 5. Shower and listen to uplifting music Photo by Fizkes Take a shower to kick start your body with maximum productivity. After showering, listen to uplifting music to set a positive tone and get your body & mind working for the whole day. Inspiring music can

Abundance Mindset: How To Develop It In 7 Steps

Home How to Develop an Abundance Mindset –  A mind is a powerful tool that determines your reality. What you think you might become. Studies have proved that how you think, can have a huge impact on your life and health. If you focus on negative self-talk, you’ll have negativity & defeats in your life. If you focus on abundance, you will have more abundance in your life than you need. An abundance mindset is a belief that there is plenty of everything in the world for everyone. Embracing this mindset leads to personal & professional success. When you have an abundant mindset, you’re grateful for having everything in your life, and you’re clear & confident. The term “abundance mindset” was coined by Stephen Covey in his 1989 bestseller, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Stephen Covey taught that if you want to change your life, you have to change your mindset. Moreover, the term abundance mindset is talked about in contrast to the scarcity mindset. The scarcity mindset refers to the belief that someone thinks there are finite resources in the world- if someone gets something, it will leave less for others. So, you need to change your mindset from scarcity to abundance. In this article, we’ll share 7 steps to develop an abundance mindset that will help you feel positive, motivated, and grateful for what you have. Let’s begin! Table of Contents 1. Focus on what you have The first and foremost way to develop an abundance mindset is instead of focusing on your problems, focus on your blessings. Abundant mindset people focus on gratitude for who they’re and what they have. If you want to become this kind, appreciate good & bad and think positive in any situation. Moreover, you should appreciate the people for what they’ve in their life rather than being envious. It’s good to focus on your strengths and accomplishments. In this way, you’ll feel more abundant.  2. Choose your words carefully Choose your words carefully while talking to yourself and others. The language you use determines your reality. For example, when you are having a conversation with someone, focus on your words. If you’re talking about, I can’t, and your words make you depressed and overwhelmed, stop saying that. Instead, talk gracefully with the belief that everything is abundant. This will help you relish good experiences, feel confident in yourself in front of everyone, and make you ready for action. 3. Be proactive To develop an abundance mindset, you have to look for different opportunities and avail them when you have a  chance. For example, if you find an opportunity to earn extra income to pay your loan, you should jump on it. By adopting this habit, you will be prepared to capture bigger opportunities. Therefore, look for them to boost feelings of abundance and progress. This will make you believe in yourself, and you’ll feel you’re progressing in your life. 4. Surround yourself with people having an abundance mindset If you want your life to support your success, surround yourself with people who already carry abundance mindsets. Such people are positive-minded, appreciate others, are empowered, and constantly growing. Having people who have creative & organization skills to upgrade your thinking can take you to a higher level. Therefore, choose people wisely who push you forward rather than those who add no value to your life. 5. Train your mind to recognize possibilities An abundance mindset can help you see more resources, options, and possibilities in your life. Therefore, train your mind to recognize and embrace them. To develop this mindset, you need to see the highest potential in every situation. You can start it by relaxing your focus and expanding your awareness. It will allow you to approach a situation from a different view where you believe you couldn’t fall.  6. Create win-win situations People with a scarcity mentality view life as a cake and think if someone gets a bigger slice of cake, then the others are left with smaller slices. They see every situation as a win-lose. People with an abundance mentality, on the other hand, view life as a sum of collaborative efforts instead of competing. So, create win-win situations through collaboration to yield mutually favorable results.  7. Practice affirmation Last but not least, affirmation is a mindfulness practice used by highly effective people throughout history. Practicing affirmation on a daily basis can shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Start with jotting down your biggest fears, worries, insecurities, and goals. Turn these fears into an affirmation of confidence. Furthermore, write down the affirmations to expand your awareness to know your resources and how you can overcome your fears. This practice will lead to a meaningful and abundant life.  The bottom line Developing an abundance & scarcity mindset can have a huge bearing on your success. An abundance mindset makes you feel empowered & confident, and you focus on possibilities leading to positive growth and development. Meanwhile, the scarcity mentality creates unnecessary fear, desperation, and anxiety.  To survive the ups & downs of life and never give up, you have to develop this mindset to lead an abundant life. Feeling Unproductive At Work? Here Are 7 Tips For Time Management To Help You Be More Productive

Home 7 Tips for Time Management –  Do you feel unproductive at work and overthinking about why you have not accomplished much? Also, you notice some people who manage to do everything and have time to spare. But how do they accomplish this? The answer is effective time management.  Time management is a rewarding skill that helps you to do more in less time and will take you far in your life. Time, a crucial aspect of life, needs to be treated respectfully, so you’ll have no regrets in the future. This master skill will increase your productivity at work, and you’ll be able to accomplish your daily activities quickly and efficiently by staying cool and collected.  The benefits of time management are beyond increasing productivity and reducing stress. You can track your progress, and your life will experience a positive change. In this blog post, we will share the 7 best tips for time management of all time. These useful tips are to-the-point pieces of wisdom that you can apply quickly to learn how to manage time and stay more focused and in control. Table of Contents 1. Track How You Are Spending Your Time Start by tracking where you’re actually spending your time. You have to find out where the time is going. Do you spend too much time scrolling social media, reading emails, or making personal calls? You easily do this by using a spreadsheet or even on a piece of paper.   When you start to track your time, you have an accurate picture of how much you can accomplish in a day by kicking out those time-wasting activities. Moreover, the time tracker will assist you in focusing on activities that provide high returns and find time block areas to improve. This is the first and foremost step to effective time management.  2. Prioritize 3 Daily Tasks That You Need To Accomplish You should learn to prioritize 3 important tasks daily and let go of rest. Determine which tasks are significant and prioritize them based on importance and urgency. This tip will help you identify the tasks that are worth delegating and support the achievement of your goals.  Using the Eisenhower Matrix, tasks can be divided into four types.  (i) Urgent and important: First of all, perform these tasks immediately. (ii) Non-urgent but important: You can decide when to perform those tasks as they’re not urgent. But it’s wise to do them on time so they can not become “urgent and important.” (iii) Urgent but not important: Such tasks can be delegated if possible.  (iv) Non-urgent, not important: Set these tasks aside to do them later. The first three categories are important to keep in mind while prioritizing your tasks. These categories will help you prioritize everything on your plate, and you’ll be able to separate urgent and important tasks. This step is a key to successful time management at work. 3. Create A Calendar And Make Sure To Allocate Time Slots For Those Tasks This tip is highly crucial and helpful in learning time management at work. Create a calendar to manage your daily activities. With the advent of an online calendar such as Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar. you can create a timeslot to allocate to those important and urgent tasks. It would be wise to reserve a timeslot in your calendar for a specific task to prevent any stress.  When the scheduled time comes, start doing the tasks for the entire reserved time without any distraction. A calendar is one of the basic and fantastic time management tools to keep you ahead of your deadlines. 4. Don’t Multitask This is the simplest time management tip and seems tough to follow. Focus on one task at a time to complete the task quickly. People who avoid the urge to multitask and focus on one perform the tasks with greater quality than those who multitask. According to a study done by Steelcase, a workplace equipment manufacturer, multitasking can lead to up to 50%  error in work and increase stress.  As the brain is not programmed to do various tasks together, it decreases productivity and loses time & momentum. Give your full focus and attention to present work to avoid these pitfalls. So, breathe in and out and do one task at one time to increase productivity and block distractions.  5. Take A 10 Minute Break Short breaks here and there are good to clear your mind and refresh yourself. When you keep doing tasks without any break, staying motivated and focused will get difficult. Therefore, take a 10-minute break from work after finishing a task to decompress.  You can go for a mini walk, go to eat something, meditate, or do anything you want to do to clear your head. By trying out this tip, you’ll return to your work with more productivity. It is an enjoyable time management tip that will help you develop effective stress management habits. 6. Learn To Say No If you want to learn time management at work, you need to learn how to say no. Many of us accept many responsibilities to express our devotion to work or make a positive impression. It leads to a tough schedule that can accommodate your challenging tasks. Therefore, don’t take more than you can manage and set limits for active jobs. By trying this tip, you’ll have more time to do your tasks that create greater value. Learn to say no to people to avoid overwhelming responsibilities and spare your time for genuinely important things.  7. Delegate Where Possible Last but certainly not least, learn to delegate or outsource where possible. If there are things that can do someone better, consider delegating. You’re not supported to do everything by yourself. This is one of the greatest things to learn for effective time management for many business owners, either small or big.  This tip will take the load off you, and you can focus on bigger projects. Also, you can hire an experienced

Neuro-linguistic Programming (Nlp): Here Are Top 10 Nlp Techniques That You Can Use

Home If you want to transform your entire life, including workplace performance, personal development, and achieving personal goals, you must learn about NLP techniques. Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP refers to the approach in which you learn the language of your own mind. NLP is a powerful way to help you achieve desired outcomes in your life by commanding your use of language. This article will explore the NLP concepts, how the NLP works, and ten powerful NLP techniques to transform your life. Let’s begin! Table of Contents What is Neuro-linguistic Programming? Neuro-linguistic Programming or NLP is a psychological approach to changing someone’s thoughts and behaviours using perceptual, communication, and behavioural techniques. It focuses on how you think, how you communicate with yourself & others, how you approach your life, and how it can affect your behaviour.  Developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in 1970, NLP has many concepts and techniques that show you how to take control of your mind. Scientists called it a model that studies the effects of thoughts on our minds. For example, if you feel nervous speaking in public, you can reframe this situation as an exciting growth challenge. Let’s say your relationship ends. It can be a disturbing situation for you. But you can reframe it into a positive. For example, you have the freedom to do anything you want to do. You’re open to another relationship. You learned many lessons from this relationship. These examples are all about reframing a negative situation to a positive one by clearing your head & changing the meaning of experience.  3. How To Be Yourself With These 10 Steps And Start Living In The Moment

Home How To Be Yourself – Some people don’t know who they are, and they spend their whole lives understanding themselves. Also, they don’t feel comfortable being themselves around others. “Just be yourself” is the commonly heard advice that sounds like an amazing thing to do. If you want to embrace your personality and live in alignment with your values, you have to be yourself.  Be yourself, meaning you must know who you are or hope to be. In addition, it’s about showing your true self and having a positive outlook on yourself. Here are the ten ways to learn how to be yourself. These fantastic ways will help you become your awesome self. Let’s jump in!  Table of Contents 10 steps on how to be yourself 1. Get to know and appreciate yourself From birth to adulthood, you have beliefs about who you are. But here the question is, do you know who you really are? The first step to being yourself is to discover yourself & know yourself. Moreover, each person has unique characteristics. No matter how you are, always accept yourself & appreciate yourself. Love yourself the way you are, flaws and all.  2. Don’t live in the past Many people stick to past mistakes. It prevents you from becoming who you indeed are. Therefore don’t live in the past because your past actions do not define your future. So, stop living in the past and invest in the art of letting go and moving on.  3. Stop comparing yourself with others If you always strive to be someone, it’ll knock down your self-confidence. Comparing yourself to others will prevent you from discovering yourself. Once you get rid of this insecurity & comparison, you’ll gain the strength to be yourself. 4. Stop worrying about what people think of you Worrying & stressing about what other people think of you can hold you back. You should not wonder how other people view you because everyone has their own opinions. You need to let go of these concerns to be yourself and become happy. Also Read: How To Stop Overthinking 5. Don’t be a people pleaser Do you find yourself always wanting people’s love and doing what people want you to do? It’s a problem that can harm your personal development, and it must be fixed. You need to know your own personal boundaries. So, instead of pleasing others, you should do things for your betterment now and then.  6. Surround yourself with good people People grow best when surrounded by the people who support them, guide them, influence them, and help them grow. Choose your environment carefully and surround yourself with the positive people who inspire and motivate you. This will bring out the best in you and let you grow. 7. Identify your goals Life without any goals is meaningless. You need to find and identify those goals. If you want to be the best version of yourself, it’s necessary to start setting goals. Write down your specific goals in life and track your progress daily. Keep striving to accomplish those plans. Also Read: How to Find Your Passion 8. Be open to change Remember, you’re a dynamic individual, and your brain is learning and changing continuously. You spend months or years finding out who you are. Sometimes, you’ve to change your current values to find the outcome. Therefore, always accept changes and allow yourself to change. This will help you be yourself, and you’ll gain new experiences in life. 9. Get out of your comfort zone One of the significant ways to be yourself is getting out of your comfort zone. Growths can’t be made in your comfort zone. It is tough, but you have to break off these chains. Take small steps, change your routine a little, and experience new things that gradually expand your comfort zone.  10. Find your community Last but not least, if you want to learn how to be your true self, surround yourself with the people who are genuine, optimistic, and uplift you. Find the community that loves you, knows you very well and supports you. You’ll finally learn how to be yourself in such a place, and you’ll become a better person. There are plenty of communities such as the Mental Health Support Community on Discord or Mental Health Thread on Reddit.  Why is it hard to be yourself? It is more complex to be yourself than it seems. Because people care so much about being accepted by others. If you let others tell you who you are and what your goals are, you can not live a meaningful life. Hence, it is challenging to be yourself in a world that possibly wants to change you. Therefore, you have to overcome this challenge, and you must realize that who you’re without anyone else is perfectly fine. You’re allowing yourself to align with peace and shine forth when you’ll follow your bliss and do what you want. Although it is hard, it is a rewarding process. Anything worth having takes patience, time and effort, so don’t get discouraged & move forward with confidence. The bottom line Nothing is more powerful in the world than being yourself. If you do what you love rather than living up to society’s expectations, you’ll become the best possible version of yourself. So, focus on your journey and practice becoming all of yourself by implementing the ways mentioned above. It is a work in progress that takes time. So, please don’t give up and be inspired & motivated to discover your individuality & embrace it. Do you know any other ways that you have tried to be yourself?
