It's an important practice to first identify the things that bring you joy and then to actively seek them throughout the day. This can be anything from grabbing your favourite coffee to calling a good friend. Make time for these wellness breaks throughout the day.

It can lower blood pressure and stress and take your mind from overdrive to clarity. Consider opportunities in your day where you can go outside. We all have that inner voice that we think we cannot control but, with some work, we can start to retrain our thoughts. The first step is to catch yourself in the act. Notice when your mind is wondering and look at ways to correct it by asking if that thought is or isn't serving you.

We are more connected to others than ever before but this comes at the cost of connectedness to self. To reduce your social consumption try moving some apps to the second page of your mobile and turning off notifications during certain times. This will stop you from reaching for your phone and make you less obtainable when you are focusing on other tasks.
